Cathedral Choir

The Choir of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity is a dedicated group of volunteers and staff singers who fill our liturgies with music. They sing weekly at the 10:45 a.m. Choral Eucharist and at regular Evensongs, usually on the third Saturday of the month.  The Choir season usually runs from after Labor Day through Pentecost Sunday. There are also occasional concerts at which the Choir sings and opportunities for domestic and international tours.

In past years, the Choir has sung in residency in New York City and in the United Kingdom. Within the Lehigh Valley, they have collaborated with the choirs of St. Stephen’s Pro-Cathedral (Wilkes-Barre, PA), Trinity Episcopal Church (Easton, PA), the Charter Arts High School (Bethlehem, PA), and the Bethlehem Bach Choir.

The Choir is open to people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. It can be a place someone to develop into a musician, or for an experienced singer to find a community in which to make music. If you are interested, please email Dr. Nicholas Halbert at musicdirector@nativitycathedral.org to schedule a meeting and musical introduction.
